If you're looking for the most popular Christmas romance books on TikTok, this list is for you. All of these holiday romcom books are perfect for anyone looking for lighthearted holiday reads.
I compiled this list based on the top Christmas romance books I most frequently see people posting about on TikTok. If you're looking for literary masterpieces, this list might not be for you, lol. All of these holiday romance novels could easily be adapted for the Hallmark Channel, so if that sounds like your cup of tea, I'm happy you're here!
Popular Christmas Romance Books
1. Lovelight Farms – BK Borrison
Lovelight Farms is the first book in the Lovelight Farms series, set in the charming little town of Inglewild. Stella owns a Christmas tree farm there, but it’s struggling, so she enters a contest to win a $100K cash prize. The catch? To make her farm look like a romantic holiday destination, she has to pretend she’s in a relationship. The problem is, she’s single, so her best friend Luka steps in to be her fake boyfriend.
It’s a cute fake dating story with a best friends-to-lovers twist, all set against a small-town backdrop. The series has four books in total, and while each one is a standalone, you’ll recognize some familiar faces from Inglewild as the story unfolds.
2. The Christmas Tree Farm – Laurie Gilmore
The Christmas Tree Farm is book 3 in the Dream Harbor series. We’re first introduced to Dream Harbor in The Pumpkin Spice Café, and the series continues with The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore (I’m sure you can spot the theme there). Each book is set in a different season, and The Christmas Tree Farm centers around a woman who hates Christmas but ends up buying a Christmas tree farm in Dream Harbor.
Between Lovelight Farms and Dream Harbor, I’d recommend Lovelight Farms if you’re looking for a sweet, feel-good read. But honestly, these books are all cute, fluffy, and perfect for the holidays if you're in the mood for something light and festive!
3. The Christmas Fix – Lucy Score
It would be nearly impossible to watch a TikTok Christmas book video without coming across The Christmas Fix. The cover screams Hallmark movie vibes and, honestly, that’s exactly what I look for in holiday books.
When a late-season hurricane hits Merry, Connecticut, Noah has to break the news that there won’t be a Christmas Festival, putting the town’s economy at risk. In comes Catalina, a reality TV star with a big budget and a plan to save the town—but she has to convince Noah (who’s still holding a grudge from her last visit) to let her help.
4. Christmas at the Comfort Food Café – Debbie Johnson
Christmas at the Comfort Food Café is a novella (it’s less than 200 pages), so it’s a good option if you’re looking for a quick Christmas fix. It’s another book with a female main character who hates Christmas, but is forced to spend the holiday season with her family at the Comfort Food Café.
It’s a quick read, very festive, and another standalone that’s part of a broader series (Comfort Food Café).
5. In a Holidaze – Christina Lauren
In a Holidaze is a Christmas Groundhog Day story following Mae after she gets into a car accident following her last Christmas at her favorite Utah home (it kind of feels similar in a way to The Summer I Turned Pretty).
As Goodreads puts it: "With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.”
6. The Christmas Bookshop – Jenny Colgan
Bookshops make such cozy backdrops for snowy Christmas books. Throw in Edinburgh as the setting and this might be the coziest book on this list. Carmen loses her job, has to move in with her sister, and is forced to take a job at an old bookstore. Her goal is to revamp it in time for the Christmas season, but she gets caught up in a love triangle!
The love triangle aspect is a little bit different from the other books on this list, and the Scottish setting is also unique.
7. Winter Street – Elin Hilderbrand
Elin Hilderbrand has been an author impossible to miss this year, especially due to the popularity of her book The Perfect Couple being adapted into a Netflix show. Her first Christmas book, Winter Street, follows Kelley, the owner of Winter Street Inn and a father of four grown children, who is looking forward to getting them all together for Christmas on Nantucket.
Kelley walks in on his wife kissing the man dressed as Santa at their Christmas party, and each of his children comes home with their own drama to add to the mix. This is the first book in the four-book Winter Street series.
8. The Twelve Dates of Christmas – Jenny Bayliss
Kate Turner is a 34-year-old designer and baker in the small town of Blexford, England. She’s cynical about love and prefers focusing on her career as a designer and side job at a local café. When her best friend signs her up for a dating agency, Kate finds herself on a series of terrible dates leading up to Christmas, with the whole town watching.
As you can imagine, chaos ensues, and Kate ends up realizing that the love she was searching for might have been right under her nose all along.
9. Merry Little Meet Cute – Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone
Bee, a successful adult film star, is cast in a Christmas movie for the wholesome Hope Channel, forcing her to hide her career as Bianca Von Honey. Things get complicated when she discovers her co-star is Nolan Shaw, a former boy band member trying to rehab his career.
The two begin a secret romance and have to navigate their chemistry while keeping their relationship quiet, but a reporter threatens to expose their secrets.
10. Window Shopping – Tessa Bailey
This book follows Stella, who ends up getting a job decorating the windows outside of a department store for the holidays. Stella has just gotten out of prison and has been struggling to find a job, so this is an opportunity she can’t pass up. And, of course, her new boss is hot. If you’ve never read a Tessa Bailey book, be prepared for some serious spice!
11. Holiday Romance – Catherine Walsh
This is a story and plot that you could easily find on the Hallmark Channel during the holiday season. Molly and Andrew, longtime friends, are stranded at an airport due to a snowstorm, missing their annual flight home to Ireland for Christmas. Although they’ve never been anything more than friends, Molly vows to help Andrew get home to his family’s holiday dinner.
Through a series of unfortunate events, including planes, trains, and automobiles, the two are forced to spend an excessive amount of time together, and I’m sure you can guess what happens next.
There you have it friends, I hope you enjoy some of these popular Christmas romance books!
